Josephine W. Douglas, 94, of LaGrange, KY passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017.
She was born in Corbin, KY, worked in the original Col Sanders Restaurant and took her first motorcycle ride at 90.
She was the 1st woman member and President of the Louisville chapter of The National Association of Accountants; where she was awarded The Arch L. Heady Award for member of the year, three times. Josephine was also the former Secretary/Treasurer for the Middletown Woman's Club, Sorrento East Woman's Club, and Christian Woman's Club. She was a current member of DeHaven...

Josephine W. Douglas, 94, of LaGrange, KY passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017.
She was born in Corbin, KY, worked in the original Col Sanders Restaurant and took her first motorcycle ride at 90.
She was the 1st woman member and President of the Louisville chapter of The National Association of Accountants; where she was awarded The Arch L. Heady Award for member of the year, three times. Josephine was also the former Secretary/Treasurer for the Middletown Woman's Club, Sorrento East Woman's Club, and Christian Woman's Club. She was a current member of DeHaven Baptist Church and a former member of First Baptist Church of Venice and Middletown Baptist Church. Josephine retired from Votator Division of Chemetron.
Preceding her in death were her husbands; Elijah Helton, James Sutherland, and Irvin Douglas, parents; Dewey and Goldie Tipton, and brothers; Vanart and Carl Tipton.
Left to cherish the memory of Josephine are her sister; Marie Ransdell, son; Don Helton Sr (Ann), grandchildren; Donald Helton Jr, Brian Helton, Kimberly Bowles, and Jeff Helton, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home in LaGrange, KY on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 1pm with burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Corbin, KY. Visitation will be from 10am until the start of the service.
